Meet the Principal

Jennifer Rich
Principal of Point Elementary School
Jennifer Rich is the proud principal of Point Elementary School in the Mehlville School District, where she brings over 20 years of experience in education — all within the district she has long called home. Before stepping into her current role in 2024, she served as an assistant principal at two elementary schools and spent 18 years as a middle school English language arts teacher. Throughout her career, she has also taken on numerous leadership roles, including department chair, committee chair, and presenter on topics ranging from literacy to social-emotional learning.
Mrs. Rich holds a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master’s degree in elementary education from Truman State University. She later earned her Education Specialist degree in Administration from Lindenwood University.
As a school leader, she is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment where all students feel valued and supported. She believes in fostering strong relationships, empowering teachers, and using data and research-based practices — like the Science of Reading — to drive continuous improvement.
Outside of school, Mrs. Rich enjoys teaching group fitness classes, reading historical fiction novels, and watching St. Louis sports teams. Her love of learning, strong community ties, and deep commitment to student success are at the heart of everything she does at Point Elementary School.
